Let's take a closer look at how to use each feature for your daily photography. The quickest way to adjust focus and exposure is by touching the area of interest on the screen. If you want to separate the focus and exposure areas, you can split them after the initial setup. For instance, in this example, I wanted to focus on the leaves and give extra light to the boat and dock. After the initial focus and exposure setup, you can adjust more using the exposure ruler to achieve the lighting you desire.
HDRi, short for High Dynamic Range Imaging, is a technique that involves capturing multiple exposures of the same scene and combining them into a single image. This process results in an image that has evenly distributed light and shadow, revealing clear and visible details in environments with low or high exposure.
The Panoramic mode in Luwian is distinct from the default camera app on iOS. Instead of capturing a single image, Luwian uses the traditional method and takes three images that are aligned and stitched together to create a high-quality, high-resolution panorama.
Let's review two scenarios: one during the day and the other at night. To begin capturing, adjust the frame rate and the number of images to be taken per frame. If you choose to use the countdown timer, you can stop the process at any time by pressing the stop button located next to the shutter button.
Photographers use neutral-density filters, also known as ND filters, to reduce the amount of light entering the lens. This is particularly useful when taking long-exposure photographs in daylight. In Luwian, we accomplish this by utilizing an algorithm and the power of the Graphic Processor Unit. This allows you to take and store high-resolution final images.
The manual camera mode is available on Luwian and provides complete control over the camera hardware. This feature permits adjustments to shutter speed, ISO, white balance, manual exposure control, zoom, and manual focus. The Luwian app supports a range of formats depending on your device, including JPEG, HEIF, TIFF, RAW, JPG+RAW, and Apple ProRAW.,
When you select one of the Luwian films, it will activate with the default intensity value. However, under certain lighting conditions, the intensity might be too high. If you encounter this case, you can adjust the intensity using the ruler located below the film selection box.
White balance is the process of adjusting the color temperature of your camera to ensure that white objects appear truly white in your footage.
In photography, ISO refers to the sensitivity of light in relation to either film or a digital sensor. It is a standard set by the International Standards Organization. When you increase the ISO number, your picture will be brighter.
You can change the shutter speed on your camera to any value between 0 and 1 second. As you adjust it, you can see the changes on the Camera Status Bar.
In Luwian, exposure refers to adjusting shutter speed and ISO values semi-manually. When the shutter speed is changed, the ISO values will automatically be adjusted.
Luwian has an exciting feature called Films and Filters. To access it, go to the detailed panel, which has three categories: Films, Filters & Virtual Effects, and Cinetones. Only with Luwian can you record films and apply filters at up to 240 frames per second and high-resolution images.
The shutter button like all other cameras starts the photo-taking and saving process and in other modes functions as the record button, or stop button.
The program has the ability to save the current exposure, focus, camera, and zoom values for future use.
To zoom in and out while also focusing on a particular area on the screen, you can either use pinch gestures or opt for a more precise control by using the focus and zoom panel.
Luwian's camera interface features a status bar that displays five key technical details.
The flash button can be found in the top left corner of your screen, and it has three modes. Flash can be really helpful, particularly in low-light environments or when taking night shots. If you want to learn more about how to use Flash and its benefits, please watch the Flash tutorial video.
Let’s start with the status bar. Luwian comes with a status bar that contains six pieces of essential information for everyday needs.
